We really do aim to take the stress out of the day for you and will work until it's done, but there are a few small things that you can do to prepare that will make the day go a lot more smoothly:
Make sure everything is packed up into as few bags or boxes as possible. This will really cut down on the time needed to load/unload and pack the van, making everything a lot easier and cheaper for yourself as well. Boxes should be no more than 25kg total. Please get in touch if you have any questions or need recommendations for packaging.
Just let us know about any large items that might require two people to lift or anything that needs disassembling and reassembling at the other end. You're welcome to give us a hand to cut down on the cost of an extra helper on the day.
Reserve a space at the front of the property – not always necessary, but if you live on a busy street, this can be really handy. You can put out a couple of bins the day before with a note on them. Roughly 7 metres, or the size of two standard car parking spaces, is great.
If you live in a block of flats, inform concierge or reception that you're moving and will need to use loading bays, etc.
If you're moving into storage, please make sure you have spoken to the team there and have either visited previously to sign the contracts or that they're expecting you on the day within office hours.
